Bus Driver Simulator – Soviet Legend

A legendary Soviet and Ukrainian city high-floor middle-class bus.

The serial production of these buses began in 1974 and continued until 2006. To this day, they can be found on the roads of the former USSR.

The main advantages – the simplicity of the design and unpretentiousness in operation, covered some disadvantages, such as the cramped interior and doors, as well as frequent engine overheating.

About 176 thousand cars of this series were produced.

The history of the bus is rich. In the spring of 1986, after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, a special bus was created on the basis of this bus, for the evacuation of people from the contaminated zone and the delivery of specialists there. And for the 1980 Olympics, a small number of modified buses with more comfortable and soft seats and double-leaf doors were produced.
